About Me
I am a Apple Geek, Internet Nerd and all-around tech junkie. My name is John Fox and this is my blog. It contains a collection of rantings, ravings, the best and the worst – but first and foremost, it’s about me and what I like to write about – technology! Get to know me a little more and you just might like what I see.

Here is a statement of my ethics and coverage policies.
Since the age of 6, I was helping my dad build computers from scratch and since 12 I’ve been coding and designing websites. In February 2008, I started New Media Designs as a sole proprietorship, offering web design and new media consulting to businesses of all sizes. In April 2009, NMD became a Limited Liability with the addition of close friends, Stephen Perry and Allison Mayer and my fiancé, Crystina Meehan.
Ethical standards with regards to reporting provides that a journalist must avoid any conflict of interest that make his or her view less than objective with regard to the subject matter. For example, the Dow Jones Code of Conduct provides that no news personnel “assigned to report…on a specific industry may buy or sell securities in any company engaged, in whole or significant part, in that industry, nor may any member of the immediate family of any such employee do so.” As such, is it my solemn commitment as a technology journalist never to compromise my integrity and that includes avoiding any activity, such as purchase of stock, that may appear to be a conflict of interest. As someone in the industry, we all must remain beyond reproach.
All of the contracts that New Media Designs, LLP takes are protected by a non-disclosure agreement. As such, no information I obtain at any time from a client will be shared with anyone for any reason, outside the precepts of normal business operations. It would be a gross miscarriage of ethical duty to relay that information for any reason. No coverage will ever be produced on a past client due to this conflict of interest. Companies becoming clients after I produce any coverage on them are not subject to this, however, I will not continue to produce coverage after they become clients of New Media Designs, LLP, due to the NDA involved.
I welcome all comments regarding anything I might say on this site. Please keep all comments civil and ensure they do not contain any personal attacks as these will be removed promptly and your user account will be permanently banned. We are looking for lively debate and share in the wealth of knowledge the Internet brings about.
